I'm Regina Small. I'm a writer and editor in NYC. I have a lot of opinions.
Interests include: sci-fi/fantasy, literature, summertime daydrinking, trying to be a better person, fancy manicures, philosophy, pictures for sad children, and the role of irony in the modern world. And fandom, of course.
I have another blog dedicated exclusively to science fiction/fantasy. Read it here.
And let me not lie about the fact that I am jealous. I am jealous that I can’t write lazy novels about me and my friends hanging around New York not knowing what to do with myself and get them published.
Why be jealous of these garbage manifestos or their authors? Their advances aren’t enviable and they are well regarded by a very small, insular group of people, most of whom are insufferable and annoying and provincial in their tastes. And you know what else? Moratorium on novels and memoirs in which New York is a ~*character*~ itself. New York City is great, I know, I grew up here. But just buy a pretzel and go to bed, you know?
